Father, what I am due for at the beginning of the year, I receive it now in Your presence in the name of Jesus. Oh Lord, satisfy me early with Your goodness at the beginning of the year, that I may rejoice throughout the days of my life in the name of Jesus Psalms 90:14.

WHAT MUST I DO TO INHERIT DURABLE BLESSING?

Durable blessing is commanded where there is love Psalms 133:1. There is a man’s part and also God’s part to durable blessings. God can bless you and if you are careless with it, it may slip out of your hands.

Durable blessings are covenant based. They are backed up by covenant. A covenant ratified by blood oftentimes is everlasting, it transcends the covenantees. It goes from one generation to another generation. God called Abraham; it was a call into durable blessings. Genesis 12:1-3 “The LORD said to Abram: Go out from your land, your relatives, and your father’s house to the land that I will show you. I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you, I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, I will curse those who treat you with contempt, and all the peoples on earth will be blessed through you.” Shortly after, God entered into another covenant with Abraham in Genesis 15:2-19. Every walk with God is a covenant walk, taking you from one phase to another phase with Him Genesis 17:1-9. In Genesis 17:10-14 spelt out Abraham’s part on covenant with God.

How does the covenant affect us in the New Testament?

Our heart must be circumcised before we can be a partaker in durable blessings. They are covenant practices to inherit durable blessings. Philippians 3:3 For we are the circumcision, the ones who serve by the Spirit of God, boast in Christ Jesus, and do not put confidence in the flesh” Deuteronomy 10:12-17, 30:5-6.

If you are stiff-necked, you will lose your blessing cheaply and easily. Until your heart is circumcised, you cannot have relationship with God.

Conditions for durable blessings are stated in Colossians 3:8-17, “But now you must also put away all the following: anger, wrath, malice, slander, and filthy language from your mouth… (Verse 17) And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him

Prayer:

  1. Oh Lord, circumcise my heart in the name of Jesus.
  2. Oh Lord, let Your covenant speak for me every day of my life in the name of Jesus.
  3. Oh Lord, let the blood of Jesus speak for me in my career; business; family; and in all my pursuits in life in the name of Jesus.
