HOW TO MEASURE YOUR LOVE FOR MONEY

Haggai 2:8, “The silver [is] mine, and the gold [is] mine, said the LORD of hosts.” God is the owner of gold and silver. God does not spend it, but He gives it to His own people. Your portion will be released to you in Jesus’ name. An end has come to scarcity and lack in your life. From this day, you will begin to operate in surplus in the name of Jesus Christ. Proverbs 3:9, “Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the first fruits of all thine increase:” So expect provisions; abundance; explosions. Your own part to make these happen is to be willing to prosper; you must be an obedient person; you must be diligent. No lazy man prospers; you must be diligently engaged at all times. You must engage in liberal giving. You must live a giving life. You must be a contributor. You must be a distributor.

These keys will help you to live a financial buoyant life. Your money problems are forever solved. All your needs are now met in the name of Jesus.

2 Corinthians 8:9, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” Jesus Christ paid for the price of our debts on the Cross. When He was naked, that is poverty; when He was thirsty, that is poverty; He had nothing to eat, He was given vinegar to drink that is poverty; when He was stripped naked without cloth on Him, that is poverty; He was left alone without His disciples and God, that is poverty. How can Jesus Christ died in poverty and you still live in poverty? Jesus Christ had paid the price for my prosperity; he paid the price so that 2 Corinthians 9:8 can be fulfilled in your life. 2 Corinthians 9:8, “(9:8) And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every good work:”

This is your new level. The grace of God provides sufficiency for you in all things.

Whatever you do now shall prosper in the name of Jesus Christ. No one of you will lack grace to make new money and manage it well in the name of Jesus Christ. Deuteronomy 8:18, “But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for [it is] he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as [it is] this day.” Deuteronomy 8:13, “And [when] thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied;” Matthew 25:16, “Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made [them] other five talents.”

However, how to measure your love for money? 1Timothy 6:10, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” When you love money, evil has a root in you and the root will have many branches in you. Love God, do not love money. Money is your servant, do not love money. Use money, invest money, spend money, keep money but do not love money Ecclesiastes 5:10, “He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this [is] also vanity.” Satisfaction is not in the money, or things of life, but in God. Your satisfaction is in God.

How do you know that you love money? Luke 18:18, “And a certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? Luke 18:22, “Now when Jesus heard these things, he said unto him, Yet lackest thou one thing: sell all that thou hast, and distribute unto the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me.”

When you love money, it shows. Whatever you can give God it shows that you do not have love for money more than God. You love money too much if you cannot spend it on your basic needs, give it to needy, and give it to God. You love money too much if you cannot tithe. Tithe is the law of living, it started from the Garden of Eden, right from the first day. God instructed Adam to eat all the fruits of the trees in the Garden Eden except one. Somebody’s love for money is dying in Jesus’ name. You love money too much when you can use anything to get it, including your health. You love money too much when you see every relationship as just for money. You love money too much when you can kill to get it.

The cure for the love of money is to know that you are entrusted with it. Haggai 2:8, “The silver [is] mine, and the gold [is] mine, saith the LORD of hosts.” Understanding the divine ownership of money, God is the source of money. Do not trust in money, but put your trust in God.

Never love gold, but God 1Timothy 6:8-9, “8And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. 9But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and [into] many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.” 1Timothy 6:17, “Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not high-minded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;”

Pride comes in when you think it is your own. Set your affections for the things above Colossians 3:2, “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” Love God passionately. Let your heart pant for God. Show your love for God through wining of souls for Christ.

Prayer:

1. Father, help me to love You with all my heart in the name of Jesus.
2. Whatever has been hindering me from following God, be destroyed in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Oh Lord, increase me on every side in the name of Jesus Christ.
4. Oh Lord, let my debts be supernaturally paid in the name of Jesus Christ.
5. Oh Lord, let me enjoy financial explosion in Jesus’ name.
