1 John 5:4, “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” If you are born of God, you are an overcomer. You are an overcomer in the name of Jesus Christ. Nothing can overcome you anymore because you are overcomer in Christ Jesus. Deuteronomy 32:10, “The LORD found him in a desolate land, in an empty wasteland where animals howl. He continually guarded him and taught him; he continually protected him like the pupil of his eye.”

We speak about Holy Spirit and marital matters because He is the one representing the God and the Son in the affairs of families. He majors on evangelism. That is why you accept Him into the affairs of your home. The first major assignment of Holy Spirit is to lead you. Roman 8:14-17, “14For all who are led by the Spirit of God are the sons of God. 15For you did not receive the spirit of slavery leading again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, “Abba, Father.” 16The Spirit himself bears witness to our spirit that we are God’s children. 17And if children, then heirs (namely, heirs of God and also fellow heirs with Christ) —if indeed we suffer with him so we may also be glorified with him.” It plays leadership role in your life. Genesis 12:1, “Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:” Genesis 24:1, “And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the LORD had blessed Abraham in all things.” Abraham was blessed in all things because he was following the leading of God. As you follow the Lord, you will be blessed in all things in Jesus’ name.

God told Isaac not to go down to Egypt in Genesis 26:1-3, “1And there was a famine in the land, beside the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went unto Abimelech king of the Philistines unto Gerar. 2And the LORD appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: 3Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father;”

There are seasons of storms in life. That God is leading you, does not mean you will not enter into storms. Mark 4:35-40, “35And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side. 36And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships. 37And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. 38And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? 39And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. 40And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” You are crossing to the other side: from lack to abundance, from single to married, from sickness to good health, from bondage to freedom, from darkness to light, from being a borrower to lender in the name of Jesus Christ. Whatever storm you are facing, you will overcome in the name of Jesus Christ.

In the journey of life, when you see storm, never be afraid. You must have confident in God that you have what it takes to arrest storms of life in Christ Jesus. The major thing devil is after is your faith. Faith is your victory. Devil attacks our faith in order to take away your victories. Hebrew 10:39, “But we are not among those who shrink back and thus perish, but are among those who have faith and preserve their souls.” Hebrew 11:6, “Now without faith it is impossible to please him, for the one who approaches God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.” You do things in life by faith. Without faith it will be very difficult to get things done. Faith failure is life failure because faith is in your heart. Jesus prayed for Peter that his faith will not fail him. Luke 22:31-32, “31Simon, Simon, pay attention! Satan has demanded to have you all, to sift you like wheat, 32but I have prayed for you, Simon, that your faith may not fail. When you have turned back, strengthen your brothers.” Romans 10:17, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
