Title: PROMOTION THROUGH FIERY FURNACE OF LIFE
Before a student gets to the next level, he or she must sit for a prescribed examination. Before promotion comes, there must be examination. A lot of us want to be promoted, but we do not want to write the examination. Life responds to certain principles and laws. Jesus Christ said, “In this world, you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, because I have overcome the world.” As believers, we have to face challenges or fiery furnace in order for us to be lifted or promoted in life. It is the experiences you have gathered along the line that will make you able to stand and able to take up higher responsibilities. In sporting activities and certain games, there are categories. For example in football; we have under 13, under 17, and under 21 before you come to adult category. If you fall within the age bracket of 13, you cannot possibly feature in adult team. So we have to grow, one step at a time. Challenges of life may vary. Some will go through the lion’s den, some will go through fiery furnace, some will face denial of opportunities, very strong oppositions against some, and some will face challenges from spiritual wickedness in high places. As believers, you must always be prepared to face challenges in life Daniel 3:14-23. Stand firm in the face of challenges of life Ruth 1:14-18. Difficulties and challenges are not to make our life bitter but better. If you refuse to rise from the ashes of the past, you will not be able to see the beauty of the future. Isaiah 48:10-11, “10 Behold, I have refined thee, but not with silver; I have chosen thee in the furnace of affliction. 11 For mine own sake, [even] for mine own sake, will I do [it]: for how should [my name] be polluted? and I will not give my glory unto another.” Job 23:10, “But he knoweth the way that I take: [when] he hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold.” Genesis 26:12-22. Do not let the circumstances of things you are passing through define you. See positive things in every ugly event of life. 2 Corinthians 4:17, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding [and] eternal weight of glory;” Setbacks can pave way for amazing comeback.
Prayer:
- Oh Lord, do not allow the fire of my enemies have power over my life, family and ministry in the name of Jesus.
- Oh Lord, whatever I have lost in live, I recover all now in the name of Jesus.
- Father, before the end of this year, let there be undeniable lifting and promotion in my life in Jesus’ name.
