CASTING YOUR BURDEN UPON THE LORD

Psalm  55:22 “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” This verse of the Scripture tells us that each person may have the burdens or be carrying the burdens, but you should know what to do with the burdens. There would be issues; there would be several burdens; concerns etc. There are concerns about life, future, health, career, education of your children, marital problem etc. But you do not need to worry about your burdens; cast all your burdens upon the Lord. That is what He requires us to do. I Pet 5:7 it reads, “Casting all your care upon him; for He cares for you. God is able, capable, reliable and dependable to sustain you. You will not crash under the burden; He will sustain you to the end.” I see God’s terms and conditions sustaining you in life and destiny in Jesus’ name.

Some people have carried loads on their heads that can be shared with others. Why not share your burdens with others; let someone else carries part of the burdens for you. You cannot be in all the places at the same time; you cannot sing all the parts in the choir; you cannot be a pastor on the pulpit at the same time attending to faulty generator while service is going on. Share parts of your concerns with trusted people.

Philippians 4:6-7 “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” During a fast like this, let us cast all our burdens on Him. Matthew 11:29 “Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.” It will no longer be a burden when you cast it upon the Lord and when you take His own burden, it will be lighter on you. Jesus’ burden is lighter, Satan’s burden is heavier.

Prayer:

1. Every intimidation against me and my entire household, I command it to end now in the name of Jesus.
2. Whatever is tormenting me end today in Jesus’ name.
3. Father, I cast all my burdens upon You, take it over from me now in the name of Jesus.
4. Lord Jesus, I receive Your own burden that is light, I reject the burden of Satan that is heavy in the name of Jesus.
5. Oh Lord, take it over every concern over my children, career, finance, family etc. in the mighty name of Jesus.
