Psalms 110:2, “The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.” The Lord will empower you to rule in the midst of your enemies in the name of Jesus Christ.

What does it mean to take charge?

  1. To take charge is to be in firm control.
  2. To take charge is to take full responsibility for outcomes. When you don’t take responsibility, you will die in liability.
  3. To take charge means to initiate actions that make beneficial impact. You are the one who initiated an action to get things done. Moses was getting tired. Aaron and Hur were two people around him. Exodus 17:12, “But Moses’ hands were heavy; and they took a stone, and put it under him, and he sat thereon; and Aaron and Hur stayed up his hands, the one on the one side, and the other on the other side; and his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. They initiated an action to support his hand lifted up when he was weak. They decided to do something about the situation. Likewise 4 lepers in 2 Kings 7:3-9. They knew their predicaments. Famine in the land; enemies besieged the city. But they initiated an action that led to abundance in Samaria. People who would take charge are not people who watch things happen, they take actions to take charge and turn situations around.
  4. To take charge means I will not stand idle watch things happen.
  5. To take charge means to see and harness resources to achieve beneficial goals.
  6. To take charge is to prevent waste and leakage. Don’t continue to watch things waste away, things leak away. You must take charge to block the wastages and leakages.

Genesis 1:26-28, “26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. 28And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”

God actually created you to take charge. You will not disappoint creation in the name of Jesus Christ. When you became born again you are born again to take charge. Romans 5:17, “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.” Ephesians 1:22, “(1:22) And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,”

All the promises of God are given to you so that you can take charge of the affairs of life and turn things around for good. 2Peter 1:4, “Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” You must see yourself the way God sees you before you can actually take charge. Do not see yourself the way other men see you. See yourself the way God sees you. He packages for a purpose, for His own mission on earth and you must not fail Him.

WHAT YOU MUST TAKE CHARGE OF?

  1. Take charge of your thoughts. If you take charge of your thoughts, you are truly in charge.
  2. Take charge of your talk. What you say, how you say it, when you say it and where you say it. If you take charge of your words, you will take charge of your word. The power of life and death is in your tongue, use it wisely.
  3. Take charge of your time. Time is life. So when you take charge of time, you have taken charge of your life. Because life is brief; life is short. James 4:14, “Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.”
  4. Take charge in tough times. Because tough times will always come. Don’t be afraid when tough times come. Maybe you are going through one of the toughest times of this season, you must take charge. When Jesus was traveling to the other side, the storm came and Jesus said, “Peace, be still.” He took charge of the storm! There may be storms. There may be difficulty times now. You must take charge of it. There are things to take charge of and you will not fall below it in Jesus’ name. Mark 4:39, “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”

God has decided to put you in charge; you must arise to take charge.
