THE LIFE THAT TRULY SATISFIES
John 4:14, “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
There is a life that truly satisfies. This is the life that is profitable to oneself, one’s family, community and country.
Most importantly it is a life that pleases God. No man is born with a life that satisfies and no one can attain unto it by his power or work of righteousness. For there is none as righteous as God, no not one. Romans 3:10-12, “10As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: 11There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. 12They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
In pursuit of a satisfying life, man tries to appease his mind with the transient things of his world. These includes: pleasure, power, position and prosperity. But none of this can give true satisfaction.
The secret of a truly satisfying life was revealed by our Lord Jesus to the Samaritan woman when He said to her “whoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.
There is no satisfaction outside Christ. Without Him, no one can live any meaningful life, successful and satisfying life. He is the giver of true life. He came so that we can have abundant life.
