THE OIL OF JOY

Psalms 45:7, “Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” It is oil of joy; it gives you a winning edge over others in the area of your calling. Isaiah 61:3, “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.”

Where mourning is going on, God will turn it to joy in Jesus’ name. Wherever you are being depressed and unhappy, God is converting it to joy for you in the name of Jesus. God wants you joyful and He wants you joyful every day. You wake up with joy; move around with you; you to bed with joy; you wake up in the midnight with joy. Your joy shall be continuous joy, unending joy. Your day of mourning has ended today in the name of Jesus. Isaiah 35:10, “And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” Never again you will be in sorrow in the name of Jesus.

One of the things that make people sorrowful is when you do not have God. Joy is the presence of God in your life. When you are in God, you will have joy. Even when you are going through battles of life, you have inner joy that you are secured in God. The secret of your joy is that you have God in you. Christ is living in you. This will give you inner joy.

To constantly draw joy from God, you must study God’s word Jeremiah 15:16, “Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O LORD God of hosts.” Ezekiel 3:3, “And he said unto me, Son of man, cause thy belly to eat, and fill thy bowels with this roll that I give thee. Then did I eat [it]; and it was in my mouth as honey for sweetness.” You draw strength from the word of God through reading and meditation. Psalms 19:10, “More to be desired [are they] than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb”. Psalms 119:103, “How sweet are thy words unto my taste! [yea, sweeter] than honey to my mouth!”

Prayer:

1. Father, I receive everlasting joy from your word. Every sorrow and depression shall flee way from me and my household in the name of Jesus.
2. Everlasting joy rest upon me now in the name of Jesus.
3. Thank You God for the everlasting joy in my life.
