FASTING FOR BREAKING FORTH TO A NEW DAWN//Bishop Mike Bamidele
Isaiah 58:8, “Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.” Life and destiny transformation—from darkness into the breaking forth of a new day—is expedient for all believers.
Your light shall break forth in Jesus’ mighty name.
Something new will still happen in your life. You are not stuck at midnight, early hours, or in the night. The last thing that happened in your life is not the end of your story. Your day will break, and there shall be something new in your life. Your night in life may look long, but I bring you good news: your morning will emerge. Psalm 30:5, “For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” Sorrow, mourning, and weeping are over; your joy is here in Jesus’ mighty name. Your light will break forth as a new day.Job 11:17, “And thine age shall be clearer than the noonday; thou shalt shine forth, thou shalt be as the morning.” Your days of obscurity are over, and your season of morning (light) shall begin. Something new will begin to happen in your life. Job 22:28, “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” This year, light shall shine upon your ways. When the day breaks and light shines, we can see clearly and do whatever we need to do. You will not walk in darkness. Your business, career, and marriage will have light. When you walk in the light, mistakes are minimized. You will not fall into pits.
When you walk in light, you tend to enjoy speed. It is difficult to run in the dark, but with light, you can move faster. Your journey of light will not be stagnated. John 8:12, “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
From today, you will never walk in darkness; you will walk in the light of God.
THINGS TO NOTE ABOUT LIGHT
- Light drives away evil. When you walk without light, you are at risk of danger.
- Evil is more pronounced in darkness.
- Evil works take place in darkness.
- Do not stay in darkness; walk in the light. 2 Corinthians 4:6, “For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.”
Your long night of sickness is expiring, and you are breaking forth into a new dawn of great health. Mark 5:34, “And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.” Luke 13:12–13,“And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity. And he laid his hands on her: and immediately she was made straight, and glorified God.” Your health shall spring forth speedily. Your sickness is terminated by the Word of God. I break forth into a new day of sound health. From today, my body is repaired. Healing is taking place in my body. My health is springing forth speedily.
I command speedy recovery for your mental, social, and physical health. The effect of a new day is that you feel refreshed in the morning with the rising of the sun. Every infirmity hanging around you is giving way in Jesus’ name. God is making a way out of poverty and lack. An end will come to lack in your life.
Luke 5:5–6, “And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they enclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.” When you work and toil for long without results, it can lead to depression and frustration. But there is still a light that can break forth. The dawn of a new day is here. Your marital life has not ended. A new home begins for you. God is not a respecter of persons. A new light is coming, and your night is over. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Keep trusting God in your situation, because your night will surely break.Your fears will not happen. God will settle your case. 1 Peter 5:10, “But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.” The Way Maker will perfect everything in your life and home. Jeremiah 33:11, “The voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of them that shall say, Praise the LORD of hosts: for the LORD is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: and of them that shall bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the LORD. For I will cause to return the captivity of the land, as at the first, saith the LORD.”
Where you were mocked before, God will give you double for your shame. Isaiah 61:7, “For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.”
Maybe you have been falling and rising in your Christian journey and you are at the point of giving up. Today, your night is over; the light is on your way.
God wants you back. You can please God. Smoking, addiction, and fornication are dropping out of your life. God will make a way for you. God will turn your case around.
It is a new day.
What leads to a new dawn is fasting.
Isaiah 58:6–8, “Is not this the fast that I have chosen? to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens, and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke?
Is it not to deal thy bread to the hungry, and that thou bring the poor that are cast out to thy house? when thou seest the naked, that thou cover him; and that thou hide not thyself from thine own flesh?
Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.”
The benefit of fasting is that light will break forth in your ways.
