Act 2:1-4, “1And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” The fire of God will fall upon your head to fulfill destiny. Your head will not lack fire in the name of Jesus Christ.

In this upper room, were about 120 disciples. They were wearing garment of fear, shame, timidity and hopelessness. After His death, resurrection and ascension to heaven, the fear of uncertainty gripped their hearts. What will become of them. Are they going to be killed as they killed Jesus Christ? They were faced with hopeless future. But when Holy Spirit came upon them, they received garment of boldness and faith. When Holy Ghost came upon Peter, he became bold to do what he could not do before. Likewise everyone on earth is wearing a specific garment of hopeless event of life. Many times, the happenings in your life are as a result of the garment you wearing. But God will take off that garment today in the name of Jesus Christ.

  1. Garments of sin: At times, many are naked. Genesis 3:10, “And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.” Adam was afraid because the garment of righteousness had been taken from him. Whosoever is naked will be clothed by God in Jesus’ name. Your nakedness will not be exposed in the name of Jesus Christ. Even in their sinful act, God of heaven in His kindness, covered their nakedness. God shed the blood of the lamp for Adam and Eve to be covered. That was why Jesus Christ came to die for us. Anyone who accepts Christ Jesus, his nakedness will be covered. In your nakedness, the glory of God shall cover you and be your defence.
  2. Some are wearing rags. Isaiah 64:6, “But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousness are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away.” Henceforth, you will not wear rags anymore in the name of Jesus Christ.
  3. Some garments are garment of shame and reproach. Some are ashamed because of failure in life, for the wrong they have done, and financial shame. Cloths of shame on you catch fire now in the name of Jesus Christ. No more shame, but glory. Only your enemies will be clothed with garments of shame in the name of Jesus Christ. Psalms 109:29, “Let mine adversaries be clothed with shame, and let them cover themselves with their own confusion, as with a mantle.” Psalms 35:26,“Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me.” Psalms 132:18, “His enemies will I clothe with shame: but upon himself shall his crown flourish.”
  4. There are garments of beggars. Mark 10:46, “And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.” Mark 10:50, “And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.” Where you have been wearing beggar’s garment before, God will give you giver’s garment. Where you were blind before, God will open your eyes, God will give you vision. Receive both spiritual and physical eyes to see through in the name of Jesus Christ. Acts 10:46, “For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,” Your garment of begging be burnt by fire in the name of Jesus Christ. You will not wear beggar’s garment in the name of Jesus Christ.
  5. There are garments of celebrations. God will put that cloth on you in the name of Jesus Christ. Everything stopping you from wearing new garment, fire of God burn them to ashes now in the name of Jesus Christ.
  6. There are garment of mourning. There are garment of ashes. On this day, your mourning has ended. God will remove garment of mourning from you and put on you garment of celebration in the name of Jesus Christ. Isaiah 61:3, “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.” You will receive the garment of praise in the name of Jesus Christ.
  7. There are garment of sickness, infirmity and disease. The Holy Ghost will come upon you and burn down garment of sickness and infirmity on you in the name of Jesus Christ.
  8. There are garments of schools to identify the school you are attending. Such can be removed from you in your dream and before you know it, you will be taken out from school. Whatever wants to send you out from where you are supposed to be, Holy fire burn them now in the name of Jesus Christ
  9. There are garments of cults. Garment of occult that are forced on you, to find yourself in strange places, catch fire now in the name of Jesus Christ.
  10. There are garments of prostitution. Proverbs 7:10, “And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.” You must change the kind of dress you are wearing in order not to attract evil to you. Every garment of prostitution, immorality be burnt to ashes now in the name of Jesus Christ. Zechariah 3:1-4, “1And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him. 2And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? 3Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel. 4And he answered and spake unto those that stood before him, saying, Take away the filthy garments from him. And unto him he said, Behold, I have caused thine iniquity to pass from thee, and I will clothe thee with change of raiment.” Your filthy garments are removed from you now in the name of Jesus Christ. Today, you will wear the garment of righteousness, praise and salvation in the name of Jesus Christ. Psalms 104:2, “Who coverest thyself with light as with a garment: who stretchest out the heavens like a curtain:” Matthew 17:2, “(17:2) And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.”

God cares about what you are wearing. Deuteronomy 8:4, “Thy raiment waxed not old upon thee, neither did thy foot swell, these forty years.” Nehemiah 9:21, “ Yea, forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, so that they lacked nothing; their clothes waxed not old, and their feet swelled not.” Matthew 6:30, “Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?”

The old garment is removed from you and He will cloth you with a new garment in the name of Jesus Christ.
