SEEING YOUR GOOD WORKS
BARRISTER IFE BAMIDELE
TOPIC: SEEING YOUR GOOD WORKS
Text: Matthew 5: 14-16, Matthew 25: 31-46
Matthew 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Your light can be shining before men and people may not be seeing the light in you. You must make sure that your light shines for the men to see your light shining. Your light must shine so that people will see your good works. Your good works are meant to glorify God. “If I saw more redeemed people then I will be more inclined to their redeemer” said someone.
HOW TO SHOW YOUR GOOD WORKS
- Give food to the hungry.
- Give water to the thirsty James 2:15-17, “15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, 16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be [ye] warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what [doth it] profit? 17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.7 ”
- Provide shelters for the homeless; clothe the naked; take care of the destitute; visit the sick; visit the prisoners
- In your local church, join the love-in-action.
The above listed points will make the world see the good works in you and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Let somebody thank God for your sake.
PRAYER
- Lord, let the people glorify You for my sake in the name of Jesus.
- Father, let me not bring shame to the house of God in Jesus’ name.
