THE KING’S CHARACTER AND CHARISMA
Father, let every matter in my life receive perfection, let there be no inconclusiveness in my life, family and business in Jesus’ name. My blessing shall be completed in the name of Jesus.
Deuteronomy 17:14-20, “When thou art come unto the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, and shalt possess it, and shalt dwell therein, and shalt say, I will set a king over me, like as all the nations that [are] about me;……..”
There is a place God is taking you to; you will get there in the name of Jesus. You must be saved by Jesus Christ before you can reign as king in life.
However, to reign as king in Christ Jesus, there are some characters you must exhibit. As a king in Christ Jesus, you must not be covetous Deuteronomy 17:16. You must not be found in immoral relationship especially with the opposite sex Deuteronomy 17:17. You must be committed to God’s word Deuteronomy 17:18. You must not be cocky, unruly and proud. Whatever you have in life is given to you by God. You reign as king in humility. Humility leads to longevity. Reigning as a king in life largely depends on your character.
The charisma of a king emanates from his character. You can carry people along, if you character is inviting. If people find out that you are covetous, engaging in immoral relationships with opposite sex, very cocky and not committed to God’s word, they will not follow you again. Charisma also talks about gifts, your skill which followers admire and wish to associate with. As a king, you must locate your gift, develop your gift and utilize your gift, and it will pull followership. People follow those who are accomplishers.
Character carries higher weight than charisma. Charisma can make you get there but it is only character that will sustain you when you get there. You must reign as king in Christ. Luke 22:25-26, “And he said unto them, the kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them; and they that exercise authority upon them are called benefactors. But ye [shall] not [be] so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.” Isaiah 32:1 “ Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment.” You must also reign as king in God’s wisdom.
Prayer:
- Oh Lord, make me reign as king indeed, to proffer solutions to the problems of life in the name of Jesus.
- I will reign in every life’s endeavour in the name of Jesus.
- Every character deficiency that can dethrone me in life, I dethrone them now in the name of Jesus.
- Whatever has been influencing me contrary to God’s will is dethroned in my life in the name of Jesus.
- I receive king’s character and charisma in Christ Jesus.
