THE OIL OF JOY (HOLY SPIRIT AND YOU AUGUST 2025 EDITION)

In this month, your joy level shall rise! You will dance, you will sing, you will laugh, and you will jump for joy. There shall be jubilation in your life and in your household, in the name of Jesus Christ. Isaiah 61:3, “To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.” Psalm 23:5, “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” Psalm 45:7, “Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.” Hebrews 1:8–9, “8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 9 Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows.”

The oil upon you is to empower you through the impartation of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is our joy-giver. His role in your life is to give you genuine joy at all times.

The joy from the Holy Spirit is not fake and not seasonal. It is a joy that lasts through eternity. Romans 14:17, “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.” Joy will locate you, in the name of Jesus Christ. You will not fail to receive your joy, in the name of Jesus Christ. Luke 7:13, “And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.” John 16:33, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.”

No matter what you are facing now, always be of good cheer. No matter the challenge of life that is making you weep, I say to you today, cheer up! Weep no more! It is important to learn the lesson of being cheerful even in seasons of weeping. The oil of gladness breaks the yokes of heaviness and sorrow. Ephesians 5:18–19, “18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; 19 Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;”

1. The oil of joy will make you very resourceful. It will attract good things to your life. Philippians 4:4, “Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.” Whatever the enemy has targeted that you will not see, you will see it in fullness, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. The oil of joy produces more joy. It turns mourning into joy. Psalm 30:11, “Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness;”
3. The oil of joy brings an end to sorrow. It prevents sorrow from coming your way. Jeremiah 31:12, “Therefore they shall come and sing in the height of Zion, and shall flow together to the goodness of the LORD, for wheat, and for wine, and for oil, and for the young of the flock and of the herd: and their soul shall be as a watered garden; and they shall not sorrow any more at all.”

This is your season of harvest. Joy will flood your life like never before. Your heart shall be filled, and your cup shall overflow in Jesus’ mighty name, Amen!

PRAYER POINTS

1. Father, I thank You for bringing me into the month of August. Fill my life with joy beyond comprehension, in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. Oh Lord, let the oil of joy rest upon my life, in the name of Jesus Christ.
3. Oh Lord, by the reason of the anointing, turn my mourning into dancing, in the name of Jesus Christ.
4. Oh Lord, fill my life and household with more joyful events, in the name of Jesus Christ.
