Isaiah 43:15–18, “I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King. Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow. Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.” Sometimes, situations can test you. They can make you worry and shake you to the very foundation of your faith. At times, such situations can knock you off your feet and make you question what you believe. Whenever doubt tries to rise in your heart, return to the Word of God, especially this scripture. God reveals Himself here as the WAY MAKER—the God who creates paths where none exist.

Exodus 14:1,“And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,” This marks the beginning of God’s divine strategy for Israel at the Red Sea. It reminds us that before God makes a way publicly, He first speaks privately.

SEVEN IMPORTANT THINGS THAT MAKE PARTNERSHIP WITH YOUR WAY MAKER EASY

You Must Be Connected to Your Way Maker

Exodus 14:10, “And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the LORD.” If you have no prior communication with God, it will be extremely difficult to call on Him in the day of trial. Connection precedes intervention. You must be connected not only to God but also to His people. There is the Way Maker God, and there are way-maker men. God works through men. As you need God, you also need the men God has ordained to help you. When your connection is intact, your help will not be delayed.

You Must Believe the Promises

Exodus 14:11, “And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?” Trials can make you lose focus and cause your faith to fade. Never allow your present predicament to deny you your confidence in God. In the face of pressure, stand firmly on His promises. Do not be weak or weary. Believe unwaveringly that the Way Maker will make a way for you.

You Must Speak Life

Exodus 14:13, “And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.” You must make positive confessions, regardless of what your eyes can see. Words carry power. Speak what God has said, not what fear is saying. 2 Kings 4:26, “Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? Is it well with thy husband? Is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well.”

Even in pain, speak life. God will put an end to whatever has questioned your faith, in the name of Jesus Christ.

You Must Obey God’s Divine Instructions

Exodus 14:15, “And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:” God has already made the way, regardless of the limitations you see. What He requires from you is obedient action. Exodus 14:16, “But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” What do you have? Your skill, your knowledge, your resources—it is what you have that God will magnify. God used Moses’ rod to part the Red Sea. This year, with God on our side and as you lift your rod, God will make a way for you in the name of Jesus Christ. As you take steps of obedience, God will back them up with visible actions that become undeniable testimonies.

You Must Walk in Faith

Exodus 14:21, “And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the LORD caused the sea to go back by a strong east wind all that night, and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.” Way-making is a collaboration between you and God. You obey; God manifests His power. Exodus 14:22, “And the children of Israel went into the midst of the sea upon the dry ground: and the waters were a wall unto them on their right hand, and on their left.” In the midst of trials, you will triumph. In the midst of lack, you will experience abundance, in the name of Jesus Christ.

Way Maker Is for the Elect

Exodus 14:26–28, “And the LORD said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand over the sea, that the waters may come again upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen.
And Moses stretched forth his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to his strength when the morning appeared; and the Egyptians fled against it; and the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea. And the waters returned, and covered the chariots, and the horsemen, and all the host of Pharaoh that came into the sea after them; there remained not so much as one of them.”
Before you can enjoy His awesomeness, you must belong to Him. Let Him be your God.

You Must Enter His Presence with Thanksgiving

Exodus 14:31, “And Israel saw that great work which the LORD did upon the Egyptians: and the people feared the LORD, and believed the LORD, and his servant Moses.” Exodus 15:1, “Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea.” Thanksgiving completes the cycle of victory. Praise is the seal of deliverance.
