God has a great plan for each and every one of you at this convention. I believe that God is going to do something great for you in the name of Jesus Christ. I believe strongly that as the theme of this convention says — “I am a wonder” — I believe that is what you are and what you are going to be in the name of Jesus Chist.
Let us look into the passage that is the basis, the foundation for the theme of this convention, Psalm 71:7. The writer said, “I am as a wonder to many; but thou art my strong refuge.” Praise the Lord.
What does that mean? Wonder means something that is an object of curiosity, something amazing, something that cannot easily be explained. You and I, as the writer says, are men and women that cannot be explained — men and women that are objects of curiosity; people who see and wonder how we came, what we have, how we arrived where we are. That is exactly what God wants for us.
God wants that after this convention, you and I are unpredictable beings. The way men and women see us they will be amazed at what God has done in our lives. This is possible because of the way God created you and me. In Genesis God made us in His own image. Of course we know that God is a wonderful God, a God of wonders; so if God made you and me in His own image, it means that He made us to be wonderful in order.
This convention is such that God is actually going to use to showcase you, to showcase your life to the world — that you are not just an ordinary, predictable human being, that your family is not just an ordinary, predictable family, that you are actually specially made by God.
I also love what the psalmist said in Psalm 139:13–14: “For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” If you are fearfully and wonderfully made, it means you are a wonder — you are an amazement.
You don’t have to make noise, you don’t have to advertise anything — it’s just who you are. I always tell people I live in a country where most people are white; I cannot go out and say to people that I’m white because it’s evident that I’m black. So if I am a wonder, I don’t have to go out there and be making noise — it will be evident.
Regardless of what is going on in your life, it does not devalue you. If you know who you are, you will operate from that angle: “My life is a wonder.” A wonder can only bring forth wonders. Your children will also be wonders; they are little wonders who will grow into big wonders. Even in hard times that does not change who you are.
Think about Joseph: he was a wonder in his father’s house, when his brothers plotted to kill him. He was a wonder when he was sold into slavery. He was a wonder in Potiphar’s house he was a wonder; in prison he was a wonder; and when he became prime minister in Egypt he was still a wonder. Everywhere he went, that condition never changed his worth or his value.
So whatever you are going through, believe in your heart what God made you to be. Whether you have money or not, whether you are married or not, whether you have children or not, whether you are educated or not — you are created in God’s image and God is wonderful. You are fearfully and wonderfully made.
Every attempt made by the devil to suppress you will not change your identity. In John 1:5 the Bible speaks about Jesus as the light, “And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” Darkness tried to comprehend and to stop the light, but it could not. The same applies to you: the enemy will try to stop you from shining, but Jesus overcame and since Jesus overcame, you will overcome.
Every work of the devil against you will be frustrated in the name of Jesus Christ. Every lie told against your life will be destroyed. After this convention you shall shine brighter than ever before; you shall become greater than you have ever been. God of heaven will open doors for you and make a way for you in the name of Jesus Christ.
What you have been praying for may be received even now. This convention will be a turning point — twenty points for you, for your family, for your business; it can be the pregnancy you have been praying for. God Himself will visit you during this convention and your life will never be the same again.
Revelation 4:11: you are not a second-class creation or an afterthought. You are God’s primary creation, created with joy and excitement to give God pleasure. There is more to you than people know — things will turn around for your good. Say with me: “Things are going to turn around for my good.”
Make it your declaration: “I am a wonder.” In the morning, in the afternoon — when life is rough or pleasant — declare it. Keep praying and believing. I bless you and pray that God will make you signs and wonders. Go back home with incredible testimonies of God’s goodness.
Thank you, Father. I give You glory and honor. In Jesus’ mighty name we pray, amen. God bless you — be a wonder in Jesus’ name.
