BUILDING LASTING LOVE IN YOUR FAMILY

Jeremiah 31:3-4, “The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, [saying], Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee. Again I will build thee, and thou shalt be built, O virgin of Israel: thou shalt again be adorned with thy tabrets, and shalt go forth in the dances of them that make merry.”

This is type of love God expects in our individual families. He wants His nature of love to manifest in our homes. Your home shall be built in the name of Jesus. God will build your marital life, financial life and your health in Jesus’ name. Jeremiah 31:5,  “Thou shalt yet plant vines upon the mountains of Samaria: the planters shall plant, and shall eat [them] as common things.” From today, the works of your hands are blessed; you will enjoy the fruits of your labours in the name of Jesus.

God’s love for us is an everlasting love; it affects everything about our lives positively. He wants the same love to reflect in you towards your family members and others. One of the best ways to test whether you are a loving person is in your house. Sometimes, the home front is where your true character is manifesting. Many pretend to be angels in God’s presence. But once they step out of His presence, the true character and attitude manifest. That is many children are confused with behaviours of their parents because they are wearing two faces. Please do not confuse these little ones with the duality of your character.  Some of them have lost faith in God because of the duality of our behaviour. It makes church things look like fake to them. There is nothing like fake in God, it is we that make it looks like that because we are human. Human beings are working towards perfection in God. Romans 5:5, “And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.” You have the capacity to love when God is in you.

How practically can we see love in manifestation in the family?

In trust: You can only build lasting love through a measure of trust in each other. A building can only be built by joining the blocks together with mortar in a specification given by the owner. Everyone must trust each other before a family can stand. Suspicions and unfounded allegations have ruined many homes. Trust is like relationship with God. You must have a trust in Him for what He promised you. Hebrews 11:6,  “But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Prayer:

1. Father, You have loved with an everlasting love, help me to love like You do in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, I cast out ungodly suspicion in my home in the name of Jesus.
3. Father, restore love, understanding, oneness into my home in the name of Jesus.
4. Father, give me grace to be like a child in the name of Jesus.
