RELATIONSHIPS FOR EXPLOITS
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, “9Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 10For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 11Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? 12And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”
Exploits are notable or daring accomplishments in life. They are powered by relationships. Hardly does anyone amount to or achieve much if they are alone. Therefore we need to understand and development relationships if we are to perform exploits in life. God said it is not good for man to be alone. Genesis 2:18, “And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.”
FOUR LEVELS OF RELATIONSHIPS REQUIRED FOR EXPLOITS
- Relationship with God. God is the ultimate source of exploits. John 3:27, “John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.” A man can receive nothing except it is given from heaven. Lack of the understanding leads to error. James 1:16- 17, “16Do not err, my beloved brethren. 17Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.”
- Relationship with family. A healthy and knowledge based relationship with family is essential to being able to perform exploits. Many prayers are unanswered and exploits hindered on this account. 1Peter 3:7, “Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.” Malachi 2:13-14, “(2:13-14) 13And this have ye done again, covering the altar of the LORD with tears, with weeping, and with crying out, insomuch that he regardeth not the offering any more, or receiveth it with good will at your hand. 14Yet ye say, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant.”
- Relationship with brethren. Matthew 18:15 20, “Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. Matthew 18:20 (18:20) For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. Sincere healthy relationship among brethren is a guarantee binding and loosing on earth and receiving answers to requests to accomplish exploits in prayer.
- Relationships with unbelievers. 1 Corinthians 5:9-10, “9I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators: 10Yet not altogether with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous, or extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world.” As long as we are in the world, we will need to relate with unbelievers and some of such relationships are necessary for our exploits. This must be done without compromising faith or becoming unequally yoked with them. God has used people who have not known him to accomplish his purpose and perform exploits. Cyrus, Pharaoh etc.
In our relationships with men, we must ask; is this relationship leading me to do exploits or is it leading to my exploitation? This will help us assess the health of such relationships.
VICTORY TIP:
To enhance relationships:
- Truth is required for relationships to grow strong and unleash its potential. God seeks worshipper in spirit and TRUTH. John 8:32, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
- Knowledge: Ignorance through rejection of knowledge destroys relationships with both God and men. Hosea 4:6, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” 1Peter 3:7, “Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered. “
- Openness: Share the vision (exploit) to be achieved together. Habakkuk 2:2, “And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.”
