Before God visits anybody with miracles, anointing, and power, to solve problems, change lives, open doors, and move others forward, they must have done something germane. They must have sanctified themselves: to show expectancy, readiness, hunger, and eagerness to receive from Him. Until God sees you sanctified, the blessings you are expecting may not come. God wants to see your hunger for it. Exodus 19:9-16, “9And the LORD said unto Moses, Lo, I come unto thee in a thick cloud, that the people may hear when I speak with thee, and believe thee for ever. And Moses told the words of the people unto the LORD. 10And the LORD said unto Moses, Go unto the people, and sanctify them today and tomorrow, and let them wash their clothes, 11And be ready against the third day: for the third day the LORD will come down in the sight of all the people upon mount Sinai. 12And thou shalt set bounds unto the people round about, saying, Take heed to yourselves, that ye go not up into the mount, or touch the border of it: whosoever toucheth the mount shall be surely put to death: 13There shall not an hand touch it, but he shall surely be stoned, or shot through; whether it be beast or man, it shall not live: when the trumpet soundeth long, they shall come up to the mount. 14And Moses went down from the mount unto the people, and sanctified the people; and they washed their clothes. 15And he said unto the people, Be ready against the third day: come not at your wives.  16And it came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightnings, and a thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpet exceeding loud; so that all the people that was in the camp trembled.” You need a change of attitude, your readiness to have communion with Him. Numbers 11:18, “ And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against tomorrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.”

God promises to us are many and for you to enjoy the promises, you must be for Him alone. There is a divine magnet that attracts God to someone who is yearning for God in his heart.

Sanctification means to separate a person, a thing for uncommon or holy use. Something that is onto honour. He wants to bless you, but you must be sanctified. Leviticus 11:44. It is a requirement for God to visit you.

Faith is the number one key believers of this age must have to receive from God Luke 19:5, “And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for today I must abide at thy house.” Joshua 3:5, “And Joshua said unto the people, Sanctify yourselves: for tomorrow the LORD will do wonders among you.” 1 Corinthians 1:30, “But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:” Keep hearing Him, keep believing in Him, and wonders will follow you.

What we must do?

  1. Genuine repentance.
  2. Ensure you are clothed in His righteousness and not in your own righteousness. Your righteousness cannot take you far in your lifetime. Matthew 22:8-13, “8Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy. 9Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests. 11And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment: 12And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless. 13Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” 1 Samuel 16:5, “And he said, Peaceably: I am come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice.”
  3. Put away heart of unbelief. 1 Samuel 1:17, “Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.”
  4. Tarry: Keep waiting upon, keep calling upon Him. Do not shift your focus Luke 24:49, “ And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” Matthew 7:6, “Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”

Prayer:

  1. Oh Lord, help me to be in one accord with You in the name of Jesus Christ.
  2. Oh Lord, clothe me in Your righteousness in the name of Jesus Christ.
  3. Oh Lord, set my life on fire for You in the name of Jesus Christ.
